On Wednesday, May 14th, Sistema Spirits, Presented by Moon Soju brought together an intimate gathering of Sistema Toronto’s supporters for an evening of live music, curated hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction, and premium soju tastings. Generously sponsored by Moon Soju, Toronto’s leading craft soju brand, the event highlighted their commitment to community and culture through a tasting experience featuring their signature spirits. The event’s beautiful venue, the Bakery Building at 2 Fraser Ave, was graciously donated by Robert and Ellen Eisenberg, Sistema Toronto’s Founders, whose ongoing support has been instrumental in advancing the organization’s mission to provide barrier-free music education to children in underserved communities.
The event welcomed a passionate group of supporters for an immersive experience featuring a silent auction offering unique, local items, services, and experiences to bid on in support of Sistema Toronto’s programs. Guests were entertained by a captivating live performance by a string quartet composed of Sistema Toronto’s past and present Teaching Artists, and Moon Soju elevated the evening with a tasting of their signature products donated in full for the occasion.

Sistema Toronto provides barrier and cost free musical and intellectual opportunities to over 500 children and youth each week in Toronto’s underserved communities, using ensemble-based music education to foster skills like teamwork, creativity, and resilience. Students enrolled in the core program receive 10 hours of free weekly instruction including strings (violin, viola, cello, or double bass), percussion, choir, winds (clarinet or trumpet), and music theory, and for the youngest students, Music & Movement. The program aims to empower students to reach their full potential while inspiring transformative social action.
