Yes, Sistema Toronto will issue charitable tax receipts in accordance with CRA guidelines. If you give online through our website, your tax receipt will be issued electronically and sent to you via email from Canada Helps. If you donate by cheque, or over the phone, our team will issue you a tax receipt and send it to you via Canada Post.

Yes, you may make a donation in honour or in memory of someone. Let us know who you would like to honour in the online donation form and we will send a card to the honouree or their family. We will not include the amount of the gift in the card to the honouree. The charitable tax receipt for the gift will be sent to you.

We are always looking for volunteers interested in making a difference in the community. Please visit our Volunteer Page to learn more about how you can help out.

Please note that volunteers that work directly with students or in our centres must obtain a Police Vulnerable Sector Check at their expense.

We are currently looking for violins, violas, cellos, trumpet, and percussion instruments. Unfortunately, we are not able to accept piano donations. Please visit our Gift-In-Kind page for more information.

Gifts In-Kind

Non-monetary gifts can make a huge difference to Sistema Toronto. Donating musical instruments, classroom supplies, or warm clothes help us provide the best possible learning experience to our students.

Musical Instruments

We provide all of our students with musical instruments to learn on. A new violin or viola costs $500 and a new cello costs $1000. To help us reduce these costs, donate your unused or outgrown instruments. We need string instruments, bows, strings, and percussion instruments (hand drums, djembes, drum sticks, and mallets).

Not sure if your instrument is usable? Often times, it is more affordable to repair an instrument than it is to purchase a new one. We would still like to hear from you!
