It costs a lot to deliver a program that's free of charge, and your donation can help.  Sistema Toronto does not charge the children or their families to join the program.  That's made possible by the funding we get from our corporate donors and people like you.  Your money goes a long way – almost 90% of our donations go directly to the program.

Examples of how your donation helps:

• $5000 - Covers the cost for one child for an entire year
• $3500 - Provides instruments for a quartet of children: violin, viola, cello, and double bass
• $2000 - Provides instruments for a trio: violin, viola, and cello
• $1500 - Buys one double bass for a child
• $1000 - Buys one cello
• $500 - Buys a violin or viola
• $350 - Gives one child a healthy snack every day during the program
• $250 - Helps us buy music for the children
• $100 - Helps to cover the general costs including teachers and instruments

• Planned Giving - you can choose to support Sistema Toronto Academy by making a provision in your estate plans to support its ongoing and future plans for bringing the joy of performing to the children of Toronto and Ontario.
• Gift of Securities - Donations of securities allow you to support us while receiving a significant tax credit. A tax receipt for the fair market value of the donation is issued using the closing trading price on the day Sistema Toronto Academy receives the security. As well, your donation is exempt from capital gains tax, which typically applies to the sale of a security.
• Matching Gift - Some employers have programs for matching employees’ charitable donations.  Ask your employer about making a matching gift to Sistema Toronto Academy.
• Corporate Gift - Organizations can make a gift to Sistema Toronto Academy.
• In Memoriam - Make a donation to honour the memory of a loved one or friend.
  
• In Honour - let us share in your celebration by making a donation to acknowledge or sponsor a special Sistema Toronto event.

Is there a Stradivarius in your attic?
Is your old violin, viola, or cello gathering dust?  Been a while since you picked up your trumpet or clarinet?  Why not make it sing again by donating it to Sistema Toronto?  You'll be doing so much to transform the life of a child by putting your instrument into his or her hands.

If you would like to give us your old instrument, we’ll have it expertly appraised and issue you with a tax receipt for its fair market value.
